Process Engine enables even more automation of multiple media workflows by providing user programmable processes with full monitoring and notifications.
Rules-based workflow scripts can be designed by anyone granted access, using
an intuitive drag-and-drop interface which enables fast and easy linking of
processes at the desktop. Process Engine then automatically and individually
controls the workflow of any piece of media ingested into the system, 'knowing'
the actions and paths that are necessary in order to produce the final proxy
media, including interrogation of SAN, broadcast server and other storage
devices, site-to-site transfers and asset management record generation and
synchronisation.
Progress is monitored throughout the process and real time notification
provided to the appropriate parties of completion or, alternatively, any issues
that may occur. This functionality also provides full statistical analysis,
enabling managers to monitor and review efficiency and individual user
performance.
Process Engine can be scripted to identify file name extensions of incoming
media and initiate the actions appropriate to that file type, for example
transcoding into alternative versions according to user needs.
Process Engine is a standalone product from IPV that will quickly become an
intrinsic and fundamental part of your system.
